Privacy Policy

At Sky Counselling (ABN 44869345866), we are committed to protecting the privacy of our contacts and clients and comply with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988. All your personal information and discussions in counselling sessions remain private and confidential. Personal information and client case notes are necessary for the counselling assessment and treatment cited in this service. All personal information and case notes are stored securely on the online platform Zanda (formerly Power Diary). 

Confidentiality is limited at times when:  

* A court subpoenas the information in case notes  

* Failure to disclose the information would place a child, you, or another person at serious and imminent risk or danger.  

* If disclosure is required or authorised by law, such as suicidal mental health crisis, child sexual assault, or abuse. 

You can request any personal information Sky Counselling holds about you. Please let the counsellor know if you have concerns about how Sky Counselling handles your personal information or need to rectify any inaccuracies.
